A list of all the potential violations of Wesleyan policy in the university's attempt to prosecute students for the September 21 rally:
- CSB and GCSB rules presume mediation where feasible. Mediation obviously feasible, but denied.
- Dean Culliton denied mediation without consultation with both CSB co-chairs.
- Dean Culliton denied mediation without consultation with GCSB chair.
- Dean Culliton has a conflict of interest and correctly recused himself from the hearings themselves, but failed to recuse himself from everything else in the process.
- A full hearing of the CSB has five voting members present and at least one faculty/admin advisor. A full hearing of the GCSB has five voting members present, the faculty advisor, and GCSB admin or director of graduate student services. Dean Culliton set a joint GJB-CSB panel, which is supposed to have four students and two advisors. But the October 30 hearing will have only two students and two administrators.
- Reports are supposed to be submitted within 5 days of an incident, but students were notified of charges on October 11.
- More charges were added on October 18 after the initial hearing set for October 17 was postponed.
